One of the reasons for the low motivation and interest in student learning is the lack of interest in the teaching and learning process in the classroom. So far, students are still passive in learning, learning is still teacher-centered (student center), besides that teachers still use conventional methods, rarely use auxiliary media. The research conducted by researchers aims to identify 1) Motivation to learn Arabic for 5th grade students of MI Nurul Ulum Bantul before and after using audio-visual media, 2) Interest in learning Arabic for 5th grade students of MI Nurul Ulum Bantul before and after using audio-visual media, 3) The effect of audiovisual learning media on the motivation to learn Arabic in the 5th grade students of MI Nurul Ulum Bantul, and 4) The effect of audio-visual learning media on the interest in learning Arabic of the 5th grade students of MI Nurul Ulum Bantul. This type of research is quantitative research with the design used is one group pretest-posttest. The population of this study were all students of class 5 MI Nurul Ulum Bantul, totaling 21 students. The sample used is a saturated sample, ie all populations less than 100 are all taken to be used as research samples. Data collection techniques using observation, tests, questionnaires, interviews and documentation. The results showed: (1) The result of the percentage score of the pretest variable for learning motivation was 61% and the posttest was 72%. (2) The result of the percentage score of the pretest variable for learning motivation is 66% and the posttest is 77%. (3) There is a significant effect between audio-visual learning media and students' motivation to learn Arabic as seen from the regression value, namely 0.000 <0.005, and (4) There is a significant effect between audio-visual learning media and students' interest in learning Arabic. the regression value is 0.000 < 0.005. %Z Pembimbing: Prof. Dr. Mahmud Arif, M.Ag.
