In addition, religious radicalism has entered various factors of life, especially radicalism is often associated with the name of Islamic boarding schools. For this reason, pesantren as the centre of Islamic education must take a role, namely by countering various issues related to Islamic boarding schools. This paper explores the cultivation of wa?a?iyah Islamic values which aims to find out how to cultivate wa?a?iyah Islamic values, and to analyse the implications of wa?a?iyah values that have been implemented by the Putri Nurul Ummahat Islamic Boarding School in Kotagede Yogyakarta. This research is a qualitative research with the type of field research (field research) which is descriptive analytic. Data were collected using methods of observation, interviews and documentation, using Miles and Huberman analysis, namely: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing/verification. The results showed that, the cultivation of wa?a?iyah Islamic values through two paths, namely: first, learning in the classroom, this learning uses lecture and discussion methods as well as contextual question and answer, in its application K.H Abdul Muhaimin integrates the study of tafsir al-Maraghi/yellow Bible with his various experiences when interacting and being a speaker at interfaith events. Second, learning outside the classroom, the method used is the uswah hasanah method and the direct practice method, the learning process occurs when students take lessons from what is exemplified by the caregiver of the boarding school, the learning is reflected in the activities and interactions shown directly by K.H. Abdul Muhaimin in the boarding school environment. The implication of the cultivation of wa?a?iyah Islamic values in the Nurul Ummahat Islamic Boarding School is reflected in santri who have knowledge, appreciation, experience, and practice in responding to differences. Santri are able to apply wa?a?iyah Islamic values armed with the knowledge they have and the experience of interacting with different groups with a tolerant attitude, santri are able to interact with the community and not isolate themselves and see everything by holding the principle of balance. Various implications of the value of wa?a?iyah Islam are the values that are contained in the results of the elaboration of the principles: tawassut, tawazun, i'tidal, tasamuh, musawah, syura', ishlah, aulawiyat, tatawwur wa ibikar, and tahaddur applied by the Nurul Ummahat Islamic Boarding School.
