Suyadi, M.A abstract: This research discusses using educational game tools (EGT) with block games to develop children's cognitive abilities in an age range of 4-5 years. This study raises the issue of children aged 0-6 years who are in sensory-motor and pre-operational development and need educative learning tools to support Montessori. Still, the availability of these tools is limited. Therefore, this study aims to determine the use of educational developmental blocks on the cognitive development abilities of children aged 4-5 years. This research was compiled using a qualitative descriptive research method with research subjects namely class A students, teachers, and staff of RA Raudhotul Hidayah Sindanglaut Cirebon. With research located at RA Raudhotul Hidayah Sindanglaut Cirebon, this study used observation, interviews, and documentation in data collection techniques. Researchers analyzed the data in three stages including data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of this study were that at RA Raudhatul Hidayah beam media was used as an educational teaching aid during the block center which was held once a week, on Mondays. By using block games, this block media educational games can improve children's cognitive abilities due to several reasons, such as the flexibility of block media when played, giving children the freedom to explore various forms of objects in the classroom, and playing with blocks makes children happy so that block media can improve children's cognitive abilities.
