Gender bias is a condition that favors and harms one gender, causing gender inequality. Families should be able to introduce the correct concept of gender, namely, not limiting children's potential and development based on gender. However, currently, many parenting practices are carried out with a gender bias. This research was conducted to develop a 'gender responsive' parenting book for early childhood to improve gender-responsive parenting practices in the family so that gender bias can be minimized early. This research was conducted through a Research and Development (R&D) approach with a Five-Stage Model (Steady) developed by Sumarni, Istiningsih, and Nugraheni. Data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires and interviews. Product development includes the preparation of the structure of the book and product validation by media and material experts. Effectiveness testing is carried out through small-scale and large-scale field tests. The data analysis technique was carried out through five stages: preliminary research, product development, validation test, and effectiveness test. The results showed that development research was carried out through five stages: preliminary research, product development, product validation by material experts and media experts, and effectiveness testing, including small-scale and large-scale tests. The feasibility of the percentage validation value of the material is 80% in the "very valid" category, and the percentage value of the media expert validation is 67.5% in the "valid" category. After that, they were tested on parents. The book's effectiveness can be seen from the average value of the pre-test and post-test on a large-scale test. The data shows that the average pre-test score is 34.4% while the post-test average score is 84.4%. The conclusion is that the post-test score is higher than the pre-test score, so that the book can increase parents' understanding of gender-responsive parenting. %K Buku Pola Asuh, Gender-Responsive, Anak Usia Dini %D 2022 %I UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA YOGYAKARTA %L digilib56094
