%T KOMUNIKASI VISUAL DALAM TRUK PADA KOMUNITAS SOPIR JOGJA (JOGJESS)
%X Moral messages can be conveyed in various ways, such as through da'wah studies, social media, and even visual designs applied to vehicle trucks. In this case, trucks that contain religious messages are uniquely and interestingly packaged in typography and paintings on the truck. The paintings and typography usually contain confessions, sarcasm, flirting, and even religious messages as a medium to express the truck owner's thoughts. In Yogyakarta, one of the most popular truck driver communities is the Jogja Express Community.
This research focuses on moral messages in the driver's perspective, representation, and visualization of painting & typography on the trucks of Jogjess community members. Furthermore, this research uses Charles Sanders Pierce's semiotic theory to analyze the sign system. Second, the researcher conducted interviews with several Jogjess truck driver members about the meaning behind the designs installed on the trucks. Third, in addition, this research will review visual communication principles such as line, shape, size and color found on the truck. This research uses a descriptive qualitative research method with the subjects being members of the Jogjess Community as well as primary data, namely interviews with these members.
As a result, the messages conveyed contain various things, such as human relations, social criticism, and faith messages. The representation behind the truck design, among others, contains content that leads to advice or reminders in the form of community reality, family relationships, a life full of struggles, and advice in the form of appeals or prohibitions. In terms of visual communication principles, the truck featuring the painting has a fairly complete visual. The visual form in typography is not so complete, thus affecting other visual principles such as rhythm, illustration, and balance.
