N2  - The leadership role of the madrasa head in ensuring optimization in the use of facilities and infrastructure in madrasas is a study that needs to be explored in relation to the results of student achievements in education. This study aims to examine how the head of MAN 2 Yogyakarta optimizes facilities and infrastructure to improve student achievement. Optimization at MAN 2 Yogyakarta is carried out collegially collectively, meaning that all madrasah members have the right to use the facilities and infrastructure as well as possible.
This research is a qualitative research that is a case study of the head of the madrasah, deputy head of infrastructure and student affairs, as well as one of the outstanding students of MAN 2 Yogyakarta. is based on the 3M criteria principles, namely Knowing, Understanding, and Experiencing. Research uses data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used in this study used the Miles and Huberman method, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions or data verification.
The results of the analysis of this study indicate that the existing facilities and infrastructure at MAN 2 Yogyakarta are supporting factors for student achievement. Management of facilities and infrastructure at MAN 2 Yogyakarta is very detailed and guided by the principles of facility and infrastructure management, covering the stages of planning, budgeting, procurement, use, maintenance, to the disposal of goods. Madrasah heads also have a significant role in optimizing the needs for these facilities and infrastructure. So from that effort within the last one year MAN 2 Yogyakarta has been able to carve approximately 50 championships both locally, nationally and internationally.
