With the existence of boarding school educational institutions, it is hoped that students and the community will get a correct understanding of religion. Because if it is wrong in understanding religion, it will also have an impact on life behavior. As with the mistakes in bathing jenanzah made by the Al-Mubarok Mongkrong mosque community. Therefore, instilling a correct religious understanding is very important, especially for students and the community. As is done by the Al-Luqmaniyyah Yogyakarta Islamic boarding school in the service program. The dedication program is one form of instilling religious understanding to the community. This research aims to solve practical problems and also to find out data and information presented in the form of reports and descriptions about the role of the dedication program of the Al-Luqmaniyyah Yogyakarta Islamic boarding school on the religious understanding of the Al-Mubarok Mongkrong mosque community, Sampang, Gedang Sari, Gunung Kidul. This research is a type of qualitative research with a sociological approach. Research data sources are people, places and papers that interact synergistically. Researchers used purposive sampling and snowball sampling techniques. Data collection was carried out using interviews, documentation and observation methods. The methodological data analysis technique uses the research techniques of Miles, Huberman and Saldana with the stages of data condensation, data presentation and conclusion making. The last stage of the data is checked for validity using source triangulation. The results of this study state that: 1) The implementation of the role pengabdian at Al-Mubarok Mongkrong mosque begins with a series of activities such as: Debriefing of students, Deployment of students at the place of pengabdian, book recitation activities by students, lectures and TPA teaching. 2) The obstacles experienced in the implementation of the program pengabdian include: Lack of coordination between LP2M and the community, geographical location, community profession and lack of participation of youth. 3) The role of the program pengabdian on the religious understanding of the Al-Mubarok Mongkrong mosque community can be known and meets the criteria with SIX dimensions proposed by Glock, Stark and Verbit, namely: belief, practice, knowledge, experience, and consequences, community.} }
