%T PELINDUNGAN HUKUM TERHADAP PEREMPUAN HAMIL SEBAGAI TERSANGKA KASUS TINDAK PIDANA (STUDI KASUS DI POLRES SLEMAN)
%X Every human being has equal rights before the law, the fulfillment of
rights is not only given to a victim of a crime, but also given to a suspect, the
fulfillment of the rights of suspects for vulnerable people, especially pregnant
women, is given more attention. The purpose of this study was to analyze the
legal protection provided by the Sleman Police to pregnant women as suspects in
criminal cases and to measure the suitability of the legal protection provided by
the Sleman Police to pregnant women who were named as suspects.
This research is a field research (field research) which is descriptive
qualitative in nature. The legal materials used in this research are primary,
secondary and tertiary legal materials. All data is managed and analyzed using
field studies and literature. The primary data sources used in this study were
interviews with Sleman Police investigators and pregnant women who were
named suspects.
The results of the study show that the legal protection provided by the
Sleman Police is considered to be in line with the objectives of Law Number 39 of
1999 concerning Human Rights, namely by providing an opportunity to rest when
the minutes of examination are carried out and there is a suspension of detention
and making him a city prisoner, but still There are several facilities that must be
met by the Sleman Police, such as medical examinations and providing medical
examination facilities, proper beds for pregnant women and special bathrooms for
pregnant women.
