The rules regarding the minimum age limit for marriage do not seem to be used as mandatory rules for groups that remain rigid in their understanding. Although looking at the existing data every year the number of young marriages continues to decline, although not significantly. Data from the Central Statistics Agency, which shows that nationally the child marriage rate has fallen from 11.21\% in 2018 to 10.82\% in 2019 and 10.35 in 2022. International Center for Research on Women in Indonesia stated that child marriage experienced by rural children in Indonesia. This research seeks to answer the main question why child marriages in Indonesia continue to occur even though the national strategy for preventing child marriages continues to be echoed? The method used is a qualitative method and included in field research which in determining the location of this research was carried out by means of random. In connection with this, the researcher explored the data and determined the respondents themselves who were randomly selected purposive sampling, while the implementation of the interview was carried out using a semi-structured interview guide. This research shows that the practice of child marriage in Air Senggeris Village, Suak Tapeh, South Sumatra is at various dialectical levels of the three foundations of social dialectics, namely: externalization, objectivation, and internalization so that it gives rise to several different perspectives for each individual both from the perspective of the parents or children who are married. This research uses a sociological approach and uses social construction theory formulated by Peter L. Berger and Thomas Luckmann as an analytical tool to determine the social construction that occurs in the people of Air Senggeris Village towards the practice of child marriage. Judging from the 7 couples who became informants in this study, it can be concluded that social construction gave rise to their reasons for getting married, namely: lack of awareness of aspiring which resulted in dropping out of school, confused about what to do next besides getting married. In this case the education of parents and children who are married greatly influences the foundation of their understanding which is still relatively simple, they assume that child marriage is not something that is prohibited by religion, because religion only requires puberty for people who are married. The understanding of the surrounding community about the dangers of child marriage has not been socialized properly by the related sectors. According to the Head of Air Senggeris Village, there has never been any socialization carried out by the village, sub-district or district level administration related to the prevention of child marriage, either socialization for parents or teenagers. then what is very crucial is that the will for the marriage comes from the child himself, for the reason of love and can no longer hold back if he has to be away from his partner. This is also the result of seeing the environment in which marriages are carried out at a young age as if to construct that child marriage has become commonplace in small villages such as Air Senggeris Village.} }
