The purpose of this researched is to know the ability of humic acid to adsorption and reduction of Au(III). This research was started by purification of humic acid with HCl/HF solution. The purified humic acid was characterized by FTIR spectroscopy, ash content, total acidity, -COOH content, and ?OH content, then applied for adsorption reduction of Au(III).The Effect of pH adsorption, adsorption kinetics, and adsorption isotherm on adsorption reduction process of Au (III) also were studied. The gold metal formed was confirmed by IR spectra and photo optical microscope.. The result showed that purified humic acid has 11,32\% ash content, total acidity of 685 cmol/kg, -COOH content of 237 cmol/kg, and -OH fenolaic content of 448 cmol/kg. The adsorption-reduction of Au(III) ion on humic acid was maximum at pH 3. KF value of adsorption Au(III) on humic acid determined according to Freundlich isotherm model were 21,42 mg/g, adsorption energy 7,644 kJ/mol {\ensuremath{<}} 10 kJ/mol (physisorption) and the adsorption rate constant (k) determined according to Santosa kinetic model for humic acid are 0.002 min-1, respectively} }
