Descriptive qualitative method is applied in this study. Research is carried out in Library UPT University State f Yogyakarta. Data is taken by doing observation, interview, and documentation. Data analysis is performed through a few stages i.e. data reducation, data presentation, and conclusion or verification. The result indicate that Library UPT University State of Yogyakarta promote its library by issuing User’s Manual for the customer, printing and distributing leaflet, having User Education, setting Up Information sign, displaying new collections, working together with other institutions, presenting book fair, making website, and bulletin “Papirus”. All those marketing activities held by Library UPT University State of Yogyakarta are parts of the promotion strategy of the library. The promotional activities above are more than just providing information and reinforcing its products and library services so that people know more about its existence. It is strongly recommended that Library UPT University State of Yogyakarta improve its website, perform more promotion activities, take good care its collection, and add more digital information signs. %Z Pembimbing: Tafrikhuddin, S.Ag., M.Pd.
