N2  - Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar was faced with exposure to an issue that actually had surfaced long ago, so that it became a concern for the Indonesian people themselves. Exposure to the issue of corruption in durian cartons so that the hashtag #capreskardusduren suddenly went viral on social media Twitter, PKB's vote share dropped drastically in the 2009 election so that it dropped to seventh place, and also heated up the feud regarding Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar's lack of ethics to the late Gus Dur which heated up after being exposed by Zannuba Arrifah Chafsoh Wahid or known as Yenny Wahid, daughter of the late Gus Dur. From these challenges, it is certainly not an easy step for Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar to win the presidential election in 2024. In Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar's declaration video, the role of nonverbal messages used has a significant role in supporting verbal messages conveyed to Indonesian people, both regarding vision and mission, as well as work programs to fight propaganda launched by his political opponents.
In this thesis research, there are 2 problem formulations, namely: 1. What are the forms of artifactual communication used by Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar in his declaration video, 2. How does Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar construct positive images into artifactual communication in his declaration video. In exploring this thesis research, researchers used a method in the form of a descriptive qualitative method with the type of research using Ferdinand De Saussure's semiotic analysis which consists of two components of the signifier and the signified. Apart from using semiotic analysis, the researcher also conducted research to examine what forms of artifactual communication were used by Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar in his video declaration using an artifactual communication approach. While the research steps are as follows: determine research methods, collect data, and analyze data to obtain research results. The results of this thesis research show that Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar uses artifactual communication which he uses in a practical form so as to produce dimensions of information about emotions, behavior and differentiation, while to construct positive images into artifactual communication Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar uses the low fashion category.
