Data collection in the research used is observation and documentation. The data obtained was then analyzed and interpreted. The theory that supports analyzing data from this study uses the theory of audience acceptance from Stuart Hall, audiences encode decoding da'wah messages from social media through three possible positions in interpreting messages, namely oppositional positions, dominant positions and negotiating positions. The results of the study show that Khalid Basalamah's da'wah communication about wayang on YouTube social media is more widely understood by some audiences as a da'wah polemic on YouTube social media. Meanwhile, in the perspective of Stuart Hall's theory, opposition positions are found on social media. codong's dominant position is from social media while in the negotiating position there is no audience from social media. Based on the results of the study that Khalid Basalamah's audience acceptance of wayang was by digging up data from YouTube screenings related to da'wah messages about wayang, and analyzing the data using the theory of audience acceptance analysis from Stuart Hall and using the theory of encoding and encoding.
