(2); to know the staff’s performance in the Library of Muhammadiyah Surakarta (3) to identify whether the Leadership style influences the staff’s performance in The Library of Muhammadiyah University - Surakarta. This research is a quantitative research which utilizes all 27 (twenty seven) persons of The Library staffs as the samples. Data-collecting technique uses questionnaires and archives. To analyze data, it is used the calculation of productmoment correlation to identify whether the leadership style influences to the staff’s performance. The research shows the leadership style at the Library tends to relationship-oriented behavior which gain average score or mean by 3.21, even though it gets no significantly different with task-oriented behavior which gain average score or mean by 3.13. The research also shows that the leadership style affects positively to the staff’s performance. From the calculation of product-moment correlation, it gains the correlation score between X and Y is 0.306. The score that is not high enough indicates that the Staff’s Performance is not influenced merely by The Leadership Style. Result of this research also recommends on the requirement to improve the task-oriented leadership aspect.
