abstract: main purpose of this research is to know the correlation between perceptions
toward misogyny hadiths as independent variable with attitudes toward gender
equality as dependent variable. And the second purpose of this research is to
know female students perceptions toward misogyny hadiths with their attitudes
toward gender equality. The hypothesis of this research there is the positive
correlation between the perceptions toward misogyny hadiths to attitudes toward
gender equality.
This research use quantitative method. The sample of this research is female
students at al-Munawwir Islamic Boarding School of Q Dormitory, Krapyak
Yogyakarta that totaled 43 subjects. The data was collected by using scale of
psychology. Data was analyzed using computer facility of SPSS program 13.00
series for windows.
The result of this research was indicate there was a very significant
correlation between perceptions toward misogyny hadiths with attitudes toward
gender equality, that shown by coefficient of correlation (rxy) = 0.410 and p =
0.003 (p<0.01). Effective contribution of perceptions toward misogyny hadiths to
attitudes toward gender equality is 16.8 % that shown with determinant
coefficient (r2) = 0.168.
