%X The aims of this study to determine the relationship between sibling  rivalry with aggressive tendencies in children aged 8-12 years, the study was  conducted in Elementary School in Krembangan, Panjatan, Kulon Progo,  Yogyakarta.  The subjects of research is a child who has a provision to the provision of  children aged 8 – 12 yearas, has entered the third grade elementary school, and  have siblings. The over all subject amounts to 73 children by sampling studies  using total sampling techniques.  The research was conducted with quantitative methods. Data collection  method used is the scale of sibling rivalry and aggressiveness propensity scale.  Data analysis was done by using product moment correlation test analysis.  The result showed that there is a very significant positive relationship  between the sibling rivalry with the trend of aggressiveness shown by the  correlation coefficient Rxy = 0.631 and p = 0.000, thus the hypothesis is accepted.  Effective contribution given variabel sibling rivalry against the trend by 39.8 %  aggressiveness that can be seen from the value (r² = 0,398).
