description: This study aims at finding out the self-confidence dynamism of a young  girl with obesity. This study was carried out in accordance with the case the  author has found among the adolescents. In the study, the author used qualitative  method with a case study approach and collected data relevant to the  implementation of such strategies as interviews, observation, documentation, and  field notes. It was done on a young woman with obesity in Yogyakarta.  The findings showed that the young woman with obesity (informant) has  better self-confidence and perception of her physical body. The author also found  both internal factors contributing to the informant’s good socialization such as  proper self-conception, self-esteem, and physical condition, and external factors  such as the influence of family, formal education, non-formal education and  social supports by her close friends and boy friend. Positive self-perception of this  young girl with obesity was indicated by the appearing behaviors in her daily life  like acquiring self-competence, optimistic, responsibility and reality rationale.
