The research in this thesis is motivated by the phenomenon of the growing development of Islamic financial institutions, especially Islamic banking. To be able to compete with other competitors that can be done by the company is to improve the quality of products and services. In addition to improving products and services, one thing that needs to be considered is improving the quality of its human resources and knowing the motivation needed by employees. The formulation of the problems in this study are (1) Does workload affect the work motivation of BPD DIY Syariah employees?, (2) Does transformational leadership style affect the work motivation of BPD DIY Syariah employees?, (3) Does compensation affect the work motivation of BPD employees Sharia DIY? This study uses a quantitative approach with descriptive methods. The analytical method used is Multiple Linear Regression Analysis using SPSS 27 analysis tool. The sampling technique used is Nonprobability Sampling with the Purposive Sampling method. Respondents in this study were 40 respondents from BPD DIY Syariah employees. The results of this study indicate that (1) workload has a significant negative effect on work motivation, (2) Transformational leadership style has a significant negative effect on work motivation (3) Compensation has a significant positive effect on work motivation.
