abstract: Film is one of the mass communication media which has the most effective
medium of communication, not only for entertainment but also for full
educational (educational) information (complete media). This study aims to
describe Teun Van Djik's theory of discourse analysis which contains a moral
message in the film The Series Sisterlillah: Cita, Cinta, Muslimah.
This type of research is qualitative research. The approach that the writer
uses is to know the moral message contained in the film The Series Sisterlillah,
Cita, Cinta, Muslimah by using the Teun Van Djik discourse analysis method.
Data Collection Techniques by way of observation and documentation. For data
analysis, the writer used Teun Van Djik's discourse analysis technique by
classifying and presenting data about how the moral message is displayed in the
film The Series Sisterlillah Cita, Cinta, Muslimah.
Based on the results of research from the film The Series "Sisterlillah Cita,
Cinta, Muslimah" it can teach us that women have a dual role, namely not only
being a wife/mother but also being a career woman who has aspirations. However,
it should be remembered that when women pursue their goals, they should never
forget their nature and nature as women who always maintain their chastity.
