abstract: This research is about the Public Relations Communication Strategy of the
Purworejo Regency Government in Socializing the Covid-19 Vaccination Program.
Almost all regions in Indonesia are affected by the Covid-19 virus, Purworejo
regency is one of them. Purworejo Regency which is located in Central Java
Province. Covid-19 virus widely spread that put Purworejo Regency in red zone
category and the Covid-19 emergency response. With the soaring cases of the
Covid-19 virus, the Public Relations of the Purworejo Regency Authority made
multiple efforts to suppress the spread of the Covid-19 virus in the Purworejo
Regency area, one of which was the Covid-19 Vaccination program. In order to
increase public participation of the Covid-19 Vaccination Program, the Public
Relations of the Government of Purworejo Regency has prepared a communication
strategy that is carried out in various stages by conducting research, planning,
implementing, measuring/evaluating and also reporting. To increase awareness the
Covid-19 Vaccination program, Public Relations of the Purworejo Regency
Government conducts socialization through social media platforms, newspapers,
online media, press releases, and socialization directly through collaboration with
various parties such as Kominfo, Health Service, Task Force Covid-19 and other
related parties to increase the participation in Purworejo Regency.
