Pendapa Kang Tedjo has been the favourable television program by TVRI Yogyakarta’s audiences proven by the acquisition of high share figures compared to other programs. The success of a television program in attracting audience interest is remarkably inseparable from the role of the producer in presenting their program. They must be competent enough of having creative ideas and strategy to produce programs that could attract interest of many people, that are different, and have unique characteristics against other programs. This study choosed to find out how the creative strategy of producer Pendapa Kang Tedjo is in attracting audience interest. By adopting Naratama's creative strategy theory, this study is finding out the creative strategy applied by Indra Irawan as the producer. This study used a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques were carried out by conducting field observations, in-depth interviews and documentation. The collected data is analyzed through the process of reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that the producer of Pendapa Kang Tedjo applies almost all creative strategies, namely target audience, script language, event format, punching line, gimmick and funfare, clip hanger, tune and bumper, artistic arrangement, music and fashion, rhythm and bars, logos and music tracks for id tune, general rehearsals, and interactive programs. Of the thirteen creative strategies belonging to Naratama, only funfare was not implemented at the production stage of the program.
