N2  - This study aims to determine how the performance of manufacturing companies listed on the IDX and the Malaysian Stock Exchange is influenced by corporate social responsibility and company characteristics. The method used in this study is the quantitative method, namely descriptive statistical tests, model estimation tests, classical assumption tests, and hypothesis testing. The sampling method used is purposive sampling. This study proves that disclosure of corporate social responsibility has a negative effect on company performance which is proxied by ROA, but has no impact on Tobin's q. company characteristic variable proxied by leverage has a negative effect on firm performance proxied by ROA, but has no impact on Tobin's q. company age has no impact on company performance variables that are proxied by ROA and Tobin's q.
