Poverty is characterized by the vicious circle of poverty theory, which discusses the factors that cause poverty from a social and economic perspective. This study seeks to analyze the effects of unemployment, income inequality, HDI, per capita income, savings, FDI, corruption, and democracy on poverty in ASEAN in 2006?2021. This study uses the fixed effect model with Feasible Generalized Least Square (FGLS) approach to analyze the data. Statistically, the results show that there is a significant positive effect on the unemployment, income inequality, FDI corruption and democracy variables, while per capita income have a significant negative effect. However, IPM and savings have a negative but insignificant effect on poverty. Thus, it can be concluded that to reduce the percentage of poverty in ASEAN, the government needs to eliminate unemployment and income inequality, increase per capita income, monitor FDI and democracy, and improve the fight against corruption.
