"The Iqra' method and the ummi method are popular Al-Qur'an learning\r\nmethods in Yogyakarta, so it is undeniable that parents' interest in choosing an\r\ninstitution that applies these two methods in learning the Qur'an is very high.\r\nHowever, the problem that often occurs is parents' doubts in choosing between the\r\nIqra and Ummi methods which can guide their children to learn to read the Qur'an.\r\nSo this research needs to be done to see differences in the level of ability to read\r\nthe Qur'an using the Iqra' method and the Ummi method. The purpose of this study\r\nwas to see the comparison of the Iqra method and the Ummi method in learning the\r\nQur'an in terms of implementation and the level of ability to read the Koran for\r\nstudents using the Iqra' method and the Ummi method.\r\nThis type of research is a combination research, which combines qualitative\r\nand quantitative research methods with the Concurrent Embedded Design\r\napproach. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, interviews,\r\ntests. Data analysis used is qualitative data analysis and quantitative data analysis.\r\nBased on the research results, it was found that the implementation of the\r\nIqra and Ummi methods was carried out in almost the same stages. The similarities\r\nbetween the two methods are that both have learning objectives, the material\r\ndelivered is in accordance with the volume, there are core activities, there are\r\nclosings, there are classical learning and private learning, the teacher warns when\r\nstudents make mistakes in reading and evaluating learning. While the difference\r\nbetween the two methods is in the opening, the Ummi method does not open. Then\r\nthere is the use of teaching aids, the Iqra' method only utilizes the Iqra' book in\r\nlearning, while the Ummi method besides using Ummi's book also uses teaching\r\naids. Differences in the level of ability to read the Qur'an based on the results of\r\nthe Al-Qur'an reading test using the Iqra method and the Ummi method are\r\ncategorized as having the ability to read the Al-Qur'an. This can be seen from the\r\naverage value of students using the Iqra method which is 56.87 and the Ummi\r\nmethod is 57.73. The sig (P) value obtained was 0.134 > 0.05, so H0 was accepted\r\nand H1 was rejected. It can be concluded that there is no significant difference\r\nbetween the level of ability to read the Koran at TPA AMM Yogyakarta and the\r\nQur'an Training Center Al-Mady. This means that the level of ability to read the\r\nKoran using the Iqra' method at TPA AMM Yogyakarta is as good as the ability to\r\nread the Koran using the Ummi method at the Al-Mady Qur'an Training Center."^^ .
