abstract: Violence against children will have a negative impact on the stability of their lives until they are teenagers and even into adulthood, such as experiencing trauma, depression, stress and others. However, when a teenager has compassion within him, it will be easier for him to deal with his traumatic problems. This study aims to describe the self-compassion of adolescents who have been victims of childhood violence in the family. The method used in this study is a phenomenological qualitative research method with data collection techniques in the form of semi-structured interviews. Informants were selected using a purposive sampling technique with the criteria of a teenager who had a history of violence in his childhood. The informants involved in this study were three adolescents who had been victims of childhood violence in their families. Analysis of the results of the interviews was carried out using the Miles and Huberman analysis model which consisted of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that the image of self-compassion among adolescent victims of childhood violence that emerges is self-kindness in the form of self-compassion, caring and self-acceptance, gratitude and pride in oneself; common humanity is shown by realizing that everyone has difficulties in life and they are not alone in facing these difficulties; Mindfulness is shown by accepting the current conditions for violence that has occurred in the past.
