The learning process during the Covid 19 period was also carried out online, all students participated in the learning process at their respective homes through the help of the Virtual Meeting application. This was done to prevent transmission of the Covid 19 virus. After the Covid 19 pandemic ended, all activities returned to normal by adhering to health protocols. In the new normal era, the learning process has changed from online to face-to-face. The change in the learning process resulted in a change in the learning component. The purpose of this research is to find out changes in the learning system at Yogyakarta Islamic Elementary School in the new normal era and to find out changes in students and learning conditions in participating in learning at Yogyakarta Islamic Elementary School in the new normal era. This research uses a descriptive research method with a qualitative research type and a multi-site study method. Data collection in the study was carried out using interview, observation and documentation techniques. The subjects of this study consisted of school principals, teachers, students, and education staff. The results showed that: first, there was a change in the learning system in Islamic Elementary School MCc Yogyakarta, Islamic Elementary School MBS Yogyakarta and Islamic Elementary School GIS Yogyakarta including time allocation, learning design, teachers, learning places, learning media, teaching tools and materials applied in learning in the new normal era. Second, there was a change in student characteristics, there was a change in the characteristics of students at the Islamic Elementary School MBS Yogyakarta, Islamic Elementary School MCc Yogyakarta and Islamic Elementary School GIS Yogyakarta in thematic learning in the new normal era, namely passive answering questions to being active in answering, fearful of having opinions, being bold, difficult speaking Indonesian makes it easy to speak Indonesian, bored becomes fun, forced to be happy, unenthusiastic becomes enthusiastic, audio and visual learning styles become AVRK learning styles, stagnant student language becomes developing student language.
