PERPUSTAKAAN DAN KEARSIPAN KABUPATEN SLEMAN
%X This research departs from the reality in the field that there are not a few cases
that show that archive management has received little attention. The Sleman
Regency Library and Archive Service Institution in its assignment as a local
government organization shows good management and discipline which can be
said to be rarely found in other institutions.
This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The determination of subjects
in this study used a non-probability sampling technique with three informants,
namely the head of the dynamic field, the archivist for processing, and the
archivist for the secretariat. Data collection techniques namely observation,
interviews, and documentation. There are three stages of interactive model data
analysis, namely data condensation, data display, and conclusions. The data
validity technique in this study uses triangulation and reference adequacy.
This research resulted that: Alignment of archives management at the Sleman
Regency Library and Archives Service with The Life Cycle Of A Record theory
shows: (1) The creation of archives is carried out through the stages of making,
receiving, classifying, and registering archives; (2) Archive management uses
agenda book procedures and expedition books, control card procedures, and
manuscript management procedures; (3) The use of archives is carried out based
on the guidelines in the Institution, namely Regent Regulation Number 32.1 of
2021 concerning Security Classification Standards and Dynamic Archive Access;
(4) The archive maintenance stage consists of filing, archive storage, media
transfer, vital archive program; (5) Determination of final fate consists of
depreciation procedures based on archive JRA and archive depreciation
procedures that do not yet have JRA. The results of the study show that as a whole
the Sleman District Library and Archive Service Institution in managing its
archives is in accordance with the theory of The Life Cycle Of A Record. Several
supporting factors have become the driving force so that archives management at
the Sleman District Library and Archives Service Institution can occupy the first
rank in management the archives as local government organizations, namely: (1)
Human resources who have attended various trainings; (2) Facilitating facilities
and infrastructure; (3) Adequate funding.
