Parental participation in learning activities is necessary because it has a positive impact on institutions and teachers. Managers of educational institutions should have a way or strategy so that parents sincerely participate in school. Parental participation can facilitate learning. Therefore, parental participation is needed in the management of kindergarten institutions. The aim of the study was to examine the Parent Participation Model in Early Childhood Education in Al Manar Kindergarten and Kemala Bhayangkari Kindergarten, Solok City. The research method uses descriptive qualitative research with a social phenomenological approach. Research informants 12 parents and 2 teachers. Data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, documentation. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman models, while the following stages are data reduction, data presentation, data verification/conclusion. Test the validity of the data using triangulation techniques . The results showed: First, the parent participation model includes parenting activities carried out by parents and teachers. Parental involvement in learning activities begins with lesson planning and learning implementation. Besides that, parental involvement in extracurricular activities and other activities as a companion when studying at home. Second, the implication of the parent participation model is that school institutions are getting more advanced, the quality of education services is increasing so that people's trust is also increasing.
