description: Learning models are essential in education, including at the tertiary level. Since publication is a must-have for students as a requirement for graduation and job search, it is necessary to have a learning model producing publications. The Research Based Learning model is expected to develop students' abilities in terms of publications so that students have high job opportunities. This study aims to determine the implementation of Research Based Learning in developing publication skills and job opportunities at the Masters of PIAUD UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta.  The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a field research approach. The subjects in this study were the heads of study programs, lecturers, students, and alums of the Masters of PIAUD UIN Sunan Kalijaga. Data collection techniques using observation techniques, interviews, and documentation. The analysis uses the Miles, Hubberman, and Saldaña models, which consist of three stages: data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions or data verification.  The results showed that the implementation of Research Based Learning was carried out through the planning, implementation, and evaluation stages. Research Based Learning positively impacts study programs, lecturers, and students. Research Based Learning has the advantage of developing students' abilities and qualities, establishing relationships between students, lecturers, and the environment, being an added value for students, and increasing student interest in learning. While the disadvantages of Research Based Learning are that it requires a long process, time, and costs.
