%T DINAMIKA “BERDAMAI DENGAN INNER CHILD” PADA KOMUNITAS DUTA KESEHATAN MENTAL YANG TELAH MENDAPATKAN TERAPI SPIRITUAL EMOTIONAL FREEDOM TECHNIQUE (SEFT)
%X An inner child is an unpleasant experience that happened to someone in their
childhood who did not get a good resolution which will affect the future. This study
aims to examine the dynamics of making peace with the inner child in a community of
mental health ambassadors who have received SEFT therapy. This study used a
qualitative approach and used a single case design. The participants in this study
were three people who are members of the mental health ambassador community.
The data collection procedure used semi-structured interview techniques,
observation, documentation, and interviews with significant others. The NVivo
application was used in data processing, which was part of a data collection
procedure aimed at increasing the validity and objectivity of this study. The results of
the study show that the dynamic process of making peace with the inner child is
inseparable from childhood experiences, parenting wounds, and the impact of the
inner child. The dynamic process of making peace with the inner child of the
participants was influenced by various catharsis, including writing diaries, attending
parenting classes, hypnotherapy, meditation, self-healing, and reading psychology or
parenting books, so someone consulted a psychologist. After going through some of
this catharsis, each participant took part in a workshop that included SEFT therapy.
The therapy aims to restore the balance and harmony of energy in the body, namely
by tapping lightly with two fingertips at certain points in our body. After the SEFT
therapy, each of the participants slowly began to improve themselves, they were
much calmer, began to be sincere, and able to forgive the upbringing wounds caused
by their parents. Finally, each participant can manage himself well, so that he can
make peace with his inner child.
