%X technology plays an important role, almost all aspects of company operations are now directly or indirectly supported by technology and information systems. Currently, many pesantren have utilized information technology in supporting operational activities in pesantren such as: the use of computers, internet access, having a website, the availability of pesantren information systems, and the availability of human resources who manage Pesantren Information Technology.
The purpose of this study is to implement the COBIT 5 framework in the DSS domain (Deliver, Service, Support) on the evaluation of information technology governance and to calculate the capability level value and gap analysis at Islamic Boarding Schools in the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Special Region of Yogyakarta.
The results of the Capability Level Analysis on the COBIT 5 DSS Domain obtained from 42 Islamic Boarding Schools that sampled the research showed that DSS01, DSS02, DSS03 was lowest at Level 1, highest at level 4 and average at level 2, DSS04 and DSS05 were lowest at Level 1, highest at level 4 and average at level 1, DSS06 was lowest at Level 1, highest at level 3 and average at level 1. The results of the Gap Analysis in the COBIT 5 DSS Domain show that in DSS01, DSS02, DSS03 the lowest GAP is 1, the highest is 4 and the average is 3, in DSS04 and DSS05 the lowest GAP is 1, the highest is 4 and the average is 4, in DSS06 the lowest GAP is 2, the highest is 4 and the average is 4. The result of this study is that Information Technology Governance at the Yogyakarta Special Region Islamic Boarding School based on an assessment with the COBIT 5 Framework is still low status and needs to be improved, as evidenced by the low Capability Level Value and the high GAP Value.
