        abstract = {Building a sakinah family is a worship because it is the practice of Islamic teachings. Among the conditions for building a sakinah family is the establishment of good communication between family members and the fulfillment of rights and obligations between husband and wife including meeting economic needs. These two conditions are important factors for all families in the practice of forming a sakinah family, including those that occur between married couples who live with their parents, so this study describes and analyzes the implementation of rights and obligations between husband and wife who live with parents including economic fulfillment in Teganing 2 Hamlet, Hargotirto, Kokap, Kulonprogo.
This research is a field research, namely research conducted in Teganing 2 Hamlet, Hargotirto, Kokap, Kulonprogo. This research is descriptive qualitative. The approach used is the Islamic law approach. Data collection is done by observation and interviews. The results of the observations and interviews were then analyzed so that conclusions could be drawn.
The results of this study indicate that married couples who live with their parents can communicate well and can fulfill their rights and obligations, namely in the form of fulfilling the economic needs of married couples who live with their parents which is carried out through financial cooperation between husbands and parents. so that the fulfillment of economic needs does not become a burden on the husband alone. In the Al-Qur'an, it has been emphasized that between husband and wife have equal rights and obligations, this provision is contained in the Al-Qur'an surah al-Baqarah: 228. communication that exists between husband and wife and parents who live Togetherness is well established, where 6 out of 7 couples who live together state that communication in the family is always carried out every day in the dining room and has an impact on harmonious relationships for all family members. Rasulullah SAW revealed that a husband (male) should communicate with his wife (female) in a good way.}
