        abstract = {Print media will present information in the form of writing supported by pictures, where in displaying writing and pictures it is always related to the existing events. Because the phenomenon of information conveyed in the form of images is preferred which is in harmony with various social problems of society. The theory used in this study is the Stimulus Organism Response theory and the communicant response theory. This research uses quantitative descriptive analysis. Data collection techniques in this study using a questionnaire technique. This study obtained a conative response at rank one followed by affective and the lowest was cognitive. The chi-square test (X2count) obtained 1,786 with the conclusion that there was no difference in the responses of male and female students to the publication of the caricatures of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam.}
