        abstract = {This research is motivated by several situations that often occur in human life such as feelings of hopelessness, disappointment, sadness, broken homes which result in moral damage to individuals. Moral values are re-emerged and discussed in a short film "Pasumpahan" which motivates and teaches how to behave and behave according to what is taught in Islam. This study uses a qualitative descriptive analysis method by collecting data with documentation techniques. The data will be analyzed using Ferdinan De Saussure's semiotic analysis which divides the sign into two, namely the signifier and the signified. The moral messages analyzed are based on Bertens' ethical theory which is divided into three categories, namely individual moral values (human relations with himself), social moral values (human relations with the social environment) and divine moral values (human relations with God). The results of this research analysis show that the film Minang Pasumpahan contains a moral message; First, the moral relationship between humans and themselves includes hard work, sadness, longing, optimism. Second, the moral relations between humans and the social environment include responsibility, helping each other, affection between siblings and care. Third, the moral relationship between humans and God, such as being patient and grateful.}
