Qamarul Huda Bagu Islamic Boarding School is one of the Islamic boarding schools that always delivers da'wah to the local community on an ongoing basis. This study aims to find out how the communication patterns of da'wah of Islamic boarding schools to society in the modern era and how effective the communication patterns of da'wah of Islamic boarding schools are to the community and what are the supporting and inhibiting factors experienced by the teachers or ustadz in conveying their da'wah to the community. This research is a type of qualitative, descriptive and analytic research. The data sources used are primary and secondary data sources. Methods in data collection, namely observation, interviews, and documentation. Test the validity of the data used, namely technical triangulation and triangulation. This study uses Harold Laswell's theory to classify communication patterns in five aspects, first, who (who), second, using what (what), third to whom (who), through what channel (in which channel), with what effect (with what) effects). The results of this study indicate that the da'wah communication patterns applied by the Qamarul Huda Bagu Islamic boarding school in the modern era are very diverse, starting from the master using primary, secondary, linear and circular communication patterns, where da'wah activities are carried out face to face and take place in one room. Then the teacher sits in front of the community delivering his da'wah materials. The teacher also opens a discussion or question and answer room and direct practice. Then the teacher also involves social media as an intermediary in conveying his da'wah such as YouTube, Whatshap, Facebook, and Instagram Supporting factors such as communication skills, religious knowledge, communicant character, electronic media, positive solutions, speaking politely. While the inhibiting factors are; minimal electronic knowledge in accessing da'wah, facilities and infrastructure in preaching.
