This research includes qualitative and quantitative research with data collection conducted by survey method. The types of data collected are primary data and secondary data. The analytical tools used are ethnographic methods and SWOT analysis methods. The research results show; Internal factors and external factors in the traditional markets of Kebumen district based on the SWOT analysis method identify internal factors, namely the location of traditional markets and a culture of bargaining with a score of 0.33 with the "SO" strategy of updating traditional market management in Kebumen Regency while with the highest weakness with a score of 0.25 is infrastructure and guarantee the quality of products sold with the "WO" strategy of partnership between the managers of the Kebumen Regency Traditional Market, traders and cooperatives. Then external factors, there is an opportunity for a positive impact on people's income, local government policies for traditional markets and modern markets for the arrival of foreign tourists, with the "ST" strategy increasing the promotion of the Kebumen Regency Traditional Market. The external threat factor is the increasing growth of the modern market, the stability of product prices in the modern market with the "WT" strategy, which is counseling for traders.
