Academic help-seeking refers to the behavior of seeking assistance when students encounter academic challenges that they cannot resolve independently. Despite being an effective learning strategy, some students hesitate to seek such help. Self-awareness, on the other hand, pertains to an individual's deep understanding of their emotions, strengths, weaknesses, and motivations. The research sample included 282 participants selected through quota sampling, and data were collected using measurement tools based on Goleman's (1998) self-awareness theory and the AHS behavior scale developed by Pajares, Cheong, and Oberman (2004). Quota sampling is done by determining the number of quotas by dividing the sample by the number of faculties, then collecting respondents with the help of colleagues in these faculties. The quota used was a quota of respondents from each faculty with a total of 35 students per faculty and taking proportional representation of the population into consideration. Data analysis was conducted using the Pearson product-moment correlation with SPSS 22 software. The findings indicate that the majority of respondents demonstrated a moderate level of self-awareness and AHS behavior. The correlation analysis revealed a positive and significant relationship (r=0.159, p<0.05) between self-awareness and AHS behavior among students in the thesis writing process at UIN Sunan Kalijaga, Yogyakarta. Consequently, this research supports the hypothesis of a significant positive association between self-awareness and academic help-seeking. %Z Pembimbing: Candra Indraswari, S.Psi., M.Psi., Psi.
