This research was conducted with the aim of finding out more about the leadership role of the madrasa head in the implementation of inclusive education at MAN 2 Sleman. Based on the study, this research is included in the type of field research(field research), using qualitative research methods carried out at MAN 2 Sleman Yogyakarta with as many as 7 informants. Determination of informants is done by mixed techniquesnon-probability sampling form purposive sampling snowball sampling because the number of informants can continue to grow according to the needs of researchers until the data is saturated. Meanwhile, data collection techniques were carried out by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. Meanwhile, data analysis techniques in this study used three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions and verification. The data validity technique is carried out by source triangulation technique. The results of the study show that (1) the implementation of inclusive education at MAN 2 Sleman has been well implemented as evidenced by the many achievements of students with disabilities both in the academic and non-academic fields on a national to international scale. (2) the type of leadership applied by the principal of MAN 2 Sleman school is a type of democratic leadership where the head of the madrasa always involves teachers and employees in determining new policies and programs to be established and the principal always gives appreciation, encouragement and motivation to teachers, employees, as well as students to continue to develop the quality of MAN 2 Sleman. (3) the challenge faced by madrasa heads in implementing inclusive education at MAN 2 Sleman is how to create a comfortable and safe environment for students, especially students with special needs to avoid cases of bullying by their physically normal peers by doing some a breakthrough so as to create an inclusive, comfortable, and free from bullying environment in madrasas.
