This research to know the relationship of independent variables such as motivation, interest, and promotion against dependent variables is the decision of students with promotional variables which also serves as control variables of other variables. The study was conducted on MPI students at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta 2019-2022 with a population of 337 people and sampling is based on probability samplings using the slovin formula, so it is known that the total of respondents needed a total of 183 people. Subsequently, the research was conducted using quantitative methods and questionnaires as the source of research data. Data analysis techniques use descriptive analysis, correlation analysis, and double-linear regression. Data processing is carried out with the help of IBM SPSS (Statistical Product and Social Sciences) version 25. The results of the study showed that the relationship of influence between motivation (X1) and interest (X2) on the decision of students to choose MPI prodi (Y) was not directly influenced, but mediated by the third variable, the promotion variable. (X3). Based on the regression analysis results, the contribution of X1 to Y mediated by X3 was 54.4\% and the contribution of the variable X2 to X3 mediated to Y was38.2\%. While the promotion variable directly influenced the decision of students to choose prodi MPI with a contribution of 29.3\%. The double regression analysis of the variables X1, X2, and X3 to Y contributed 33.5\%.} }
