The formation of emotional intelligence is influencedby the environment. One of the ways used by the school environment to instill student‟s emotional intelligence is through learning the Al-Qur‟an. One of the methods in learning the Al-Qur‟an is the Ummi Method. This study aims to: 1) describe how the Ummi method of learning Al- Qur‟an is implemented at SD IT Ukhuwah Islamiyah Kalasan; 2) describes how of embedding emotional intelligence with the Ummi method of learning the Koran at SD IT Ukhuwah Islamiyah Kalasan; 3) identify the results of evaluating the cultivation of emotional intelligence by learning the Koran with the Ummi method at SD IT Ukhuwah Islamiyah Kalasan. The type of research used is the mixed method with a sequential exploratory design. Data collection techniques used are questionnaires, interviews, observation and documentation. Qualitative data analysis was carried out by means of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Meanwhile, quantitative data analysis was carried out by means of descriptive statistics. This research resulted in three conclusions, namely: 1) learning the Koran carried out at SD IT Ukhuwah Islamiyah has implemented the ten pillars of the quality of the ummi method.; 2) emotional intelligence with learning the Koran carried out at SD IT Ukhuwah Islamiyah already refers to aspects of emotional intelligence itself, namely, Adaptability, Affective disposition, Emotion expression, Emotion perception, Emotion regulation, Low impulsivity, Peer relations, Self -esteem, self-motivation; 3) Learning the Koran using the Ummi method is directly proportional to emotional intelligence. This is evidenced by students whose level of learning the Koran with the Ummi method is high, also has emotional intelligence in the high category. Cultivating emotional intelligence Descriptive data analysis results of the evaluation of the emotional intelligence of VA class students as a whole with a percentage value of 69% with a good category level.
