Based on the ratio in 2020, the risk of the population being involved in a crime in the Special Region of Yogyakarta reached 200 people per 100,000 residents. This figure is relatively high compared to other provinces. Despite the prevalence of violence in Yogyakarta, UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta is the most popular State Islamic University (PTKIN) and has the highest competitiveness with an acceptance ratio of 1:100. This research aims to determine the academic decisions of UIN Sunan Kalijaga students based on their attitudes towards the image of Yogyakarta, involving 117 respondents. The research uses an attitude scale with an alpha coefficient of 0.874 and an academic decision scale with an alpha coefficient of 0.858. The hypothesis testing results using Pearson correlation show a significance value of 0.0001 (sig {\ensuremath{<}} 0.05) and a Pearson correlation value of 0.531, which is considered moderate. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a positive relationship between attitudes and academic decisions. Meanwhile, 53.1\% of the relationship between attitudes and academic decisions can be attributed to the study's discussed factors, while the remaining 46.9\% is influenced by other unexplored factors.} }
