Islamic law on marriage is actually quite straightforward and not too complicated. Marriage is considered valid if it fulfils the principles and requirements. However, in general, Javanese people when they want to do marriage must be accompanied by several traditions passed down by their ancestors, one of which is the calculation of the weton of the two prospective couples. From the above background, the researcher wants to understand and analyse how the practice of weton calculation in Javanese marriage in Sekapuk Village, Ujungpangkah Kec. Gresik Regency, East Java Prov. East Java, as well as what the purpose and purpose of the tradition is. Therefore, the researcher formulated two problems, namely: (1) How is the practice of weton calculation in Javanese marriage in Sekapuk Village, and (2) How is the practice of weton calculation in Javanese marriage in Sekapuk Village from the perspective of maq{\=a}{\d s}id ash-shar{\=i}'ah. This research is a field research, with a case study approach. The data analysis method used is descriptive qualitative, and data collection uses observation, interview, and documentation methods while the data sources used are primary data sources and secondary data sources. The results of this study show that; first, the practice of weton calculation in marriage in Sekapuk Village has now become a custom, this is because the Weton tradition has been deeply bound and carried out repeatedly for generations. Second, according to the maq{\=a}{\d s}id ash-shar{\=i}'ah perspective, the weton calculation is carried out in order to maintain the benefit, which is at the level of ma{\d s}la{\d h}ah hajjiy{\=a}h. If the ma{\d s}la{\d h}ah hajjiy{\=a}h is not fulfilled in human life, it can indirectly harm the five basic elements, but it does not suffer direct harm. It supports the realisation of the primary benefit/ma{\d s}la{\d h}ah {\d d}{\=a}r{\=u}riyy{\=a}h. If this benefit is not realised, there will be difficulties and limitations. Therefore, if a person wants to get married but it is not in accordance with the weton calculation, the marriage is still valid according to the level of ma{\d s}la{\d h}ah hajjiy{\=a}h. Basically, weton counting is an effort to be careful in conducting a marriage that is considered very sacred, in order to avoid disasters later that cause disharmony in the family.} }
