Pd. %T MEMBANGUN MANUSIA INDONESIA SEUTUHNYA: STUDI KOMPARASI PEMIKIRAN KH HASYIM ASY’ARI DAN KI HAJAR DEWANTARA MENGENAI PENANAMAN NILAI-NILAI SPIRITUAL DALAM PENDIDIKAN %X The rise of cases of violence in education and the many corruption cases committed by educated people are evidence of a decline in the nation's manners and morals. This condition does not reflect the identity of the Indonesian people who are educated with the morals and noble values of the nation. KH. Hasyim Asy'ari and Ki Hajar Dewantara are two figures who are driving education that is unique and native to Indonesia. Their struggles and thoughts always try to build a complete Indonesian human being. The two figures have different focuses in fighting for education, and these differences are very interesting to study in depth to find out how the differences between these two figures have become the style and characteristics of both in struggling and trying to build Indonesian society as a whole by instilling spiritual values in their struggles in the field of education. This research is descriptive qualitative research with a literature review model. Data collection was carried out by digging into library sources consisting of primary data sourced from books about the two figures being studied, and secondary data sourced from scientific journals, magazines, newspapers, and online media. The data analysis technique used is Miles and Huberman's interactive analysis model which is carried out in four stages, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study indicate that: First, spiritual values are an important foundation in forming and implementing education. KH. Hasyim Asy'ari and Ki Hajar Dewantara to develop a complete Indonesian human being by the grand design of education carried out by the Prophet. Second, the environmental background and scientific construction and thoughts of KH. Hasyim Asy'ari and Ki Hajar Dewantara had differences, but these differences later shaped the two of them in fighting for education in Indonesia and became their hallmark in making education a means of building a complete Indonesian human being. Third, in realizing the development of a complete Indonesian human being, both are based on religious, cultural, and nationalist values which can be summed up in three broad frameworks namely; 1) Complete Indonesian people are those who know God, 2) KH. Hasyim Asy'ari and Ki Hajar Dewantara by building education based on the morals and character of the Indonesian nation, 3) The social setting during the colonial period made both of them have the spirit of building the Indonesian nation through nationalism education. %K whole Indonesian Man; KH.
