This condition of course directly affects the performance of farmers. For this reason, the development of the oil palm plantation sector needs to be accompanied by a good price structure to stimulate the performance of the plantation business actors, because plantation commodity prices are a determinant for smallholders to engage in the oil palm plantation business. Therefore the author does this related to fluctuations in the market mechanism for palm prices in Aceh Province and the ability of farmers to survive in land management according to the mabi' concept. The formulation of the problems in this study: 1) How is the disparity in the price of palm oil at the farmer level in the province of Aceh; 2) How do market players deal with the reality of palm oil prices in the local market in Aceh Province with the level of operational costs for palm oil management among farmers? This type of research is descriptive qualitative research with case study and field research methods. In this study the authors conducted direct field studies to obtain concrete data regarding fluctuations in the market mechanism for palm oil prices in Aceh Province and the ability of farmers to survive in land management according to the mabi' concept. The research approach that will be used in this paper is normative juridical and empirical juridical approaches. The price of palm fruit is basically determined by the type of quality of the fruit. There are 4 types of palm quality that are determined by collecting agents, namely low fruit quality (sand fruit), medium fruit quality, super fruit quality, and loose fruit quality. The reality of the price of palm oil in the local market is that farmers do not always benefit. In certain circumstances farmers experience losses from their crops due to the fall in selling value so that it is not comparable to the maintenance costs and operational costs incurred by farmers. Smallholders are fully aware of this, so they must be able to calculate operational costs and needs related to oil palm management with financial capability, both obtained from income from oil palm plantations and from other external finances. %Z Pembimbing: Dr. H.
