description: The diversity of tribes, cultures, and religions in Indonesia is very open to polemics among the people, for example, there are differences of opinion between them and some are not ready to accept these differences. This is evidenced by the increase in cases of intolerance from 2014 to 2019. The Institute released the results of their survey of cases of interfaith intolerance during the first term of President Jowo Widodo's administration of 846 events. In his second term, President Joko Widodo paid special attention to cases of intolerance, assigning Minister of Religious Affairs Fachrul Razi to concentrate on preventing radicalism in Indonesia. Why radicalism? Because one of the characteristics and attitudes of radical understanding is Intolerance. If allowed to continue, it will threaten world peace, including Indonesia.  One of the print media that discusses religious moderation is the Republika General Daily through the Dialog Jumat rubric they nurture. A number of news stories containing elements of religious moderation are examined in this thesis, to find out how the rubric constructs news of religious moderation, amid the rampant cases of intolerance that are feared to give birth to cases of radicalism. This research also wants to find out how the efforts of the Republika Dialog Juamt frame its news to participate in minimizing radicalism in Indonesia.  This research uses a qualitative research approach. Data collection is carried out with interviews and documentation. This study used Robert N. Entman's framing analysis method with four framing elements, namely Problem Identification, Causal Interpretation, Moral Evaluation, and Treatment Recommendation.  The results of the analysis show that the news framing of the Republika Dialog Jumat has met the indicators of religious moderation in an effort to participate in preventing radicalism. This is seen based on the fulfillment of the terori indicators of religious moderation contained in the news, namely national commitment, tolerance, nonviolence, and accommodating attitudes towards local culture. The efforts of the Republika Dialog Jumat to minimize radical understanding are also in accordance with its vision and mission, which is to promote the spirit of tolerance between religious groups.
