        abstract = {Islamic Boarding School generally has a good image as an Islamic
educational institution. However, in fact, information was found regarding the
existence of sexual harassment cases of santri, one of which was through news in
the mass media. This study aims to find out if there is an influence and how much
influence between the news of santri sexual harassment cases on the image of
Islamic boarding schools in the people of Ciherang Tasikmalaya. This study used
quantitative methods and data collection with the spread of questionnaires via
google form. The samples in this study were 100 subjects taken based on quota
sampling techniques. The data analysis technique used is simple linear regression
analysis with the help of SPSS 20 for Windows software.
The research results show that there is an influence between the news of the
sexual harassment case of santri in the online media on the image of Islamic
boarding schools in the community of Ciherang Tasikmalaya Village. Forged to
contribute 8.7\% to the image of Islamic boarding schools.}
