        abstract = {The acceleration of technological development, creating a social reality is often constructed an interpreted in various forms and meanings. This study discusses the framing analysis of news in online media Viva.co.id and Republika.co.id regarding the statement of Minister of Religious Affairs Yaqut Cholil Qoumas who analogized the sound of the call to prayer with the barking of dogs. This research focuses on how the framing is performed by the two media. So with this, the purpose of this study is to determine how the framing of the news carried out by Viva.co.id and Republika.co.id to the statement of Menag Yaqut regarding the logic of the call to prayer sound with dog barking and how the differences between the two media. This research was descriptive qualitative research using observational data collection methods. The data analysis used by researchers was the framing analysis theory model of Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M.Kosicki.
The results showed that the form of reality construction built by Viva.co.id emphasized the dramatic and controversial side of Menag Yaqut?s statement using news sources that contained and criticized it. Meanwhile, in Republika.co.id focused on providing clarification to Menag Yaqut?s statement.}
