"The Class IIA Yogyakarta Penitentiary is an institution that provides\r\nspiritual guidance in Islamic teachings through a spiritual therapy approach. The\r\naim of this research is to observe how the implementation of Islamic spiritual\r\nguidance aims to enhance inner tranquility for inmates at the Class IIA Yogyakarta\r\nPenitentiary. Islamic spiritual guidance is defined as an effort to provide support\r\nto individuals in order to strengthen and deepen their faith by conducting activities\r\nthat internalize religious principles within individuals or groups in a structured,\r\ncontinuous, and directed manner. The resulting influence can be either positive or\r\nnegative. This spiritual approach has an impact on inner peace. This impact arises\r\nfrom the implementation of spiritual guidance or spiritual therapy provided to the\r\ninmates. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach with field\r\nresearch. The research is conducted at the Class IIA Yogyakarta Penitentiary,\r\nlocated at 6 Taman Siswa Street, Wirogunan, Mergangsan Subdistrict, Yogyakarta\r\nCity, Yogyakarta Special Region. In selecting participants for this research, the\r\nresearcher uses purposive sampling method with observation, interviews,\r\ndocumentation, and data analysis through triangulation. The analysis techniques\r\nused encompass data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions.\r\nThe efforts of Islamic spiritual guidance to enhance inmates' inner tranquility at\r\nthe Class IIA Yogyakarta Penitentiary are carried out through activities such as the\r\nAl-Quran Al-Fajar madrasah, hadroh events, TPA (religious education center),\r\nlecture training, and other scholarly activities. The research results demonstrate\r\nthe effectiveness of this Islamic spiritual guidance in enhancing inmates' inner\r\ntranquility at the Class IIA Yogyakarta Penitentiary. From initially facing various\r\nobstacles such as fear, guilt, and negative thoughts, inmates become more positive\r\nand feel better.
