A person's income level can vary even if they run the same business. For a trader, the size of the income depends on several factors. Examples are capital factors, work experience, working hours, and social media used in promoting merchandise from these traders. This study aims to determine the effect of capital, work experience, working hours, and social media on the income of traders at the Wates Kulon Progo Bendungan Market. The type of data used is primary data obtained from 50 respondents using probability sampling technique. Methods of data collection using questionnaires and interviews. Using multiple linear regression analysis with the help of eviews 12 software. The variables used are Capital (X1), Work Experience (X2), Working Hours (X3), Social Media (X4), and Income (Y). The results of multiple linear regression indicate that capital has a positive and significant effect on income. Work experience has a positive and significant effect on income. Working hours have a positive and significant effect on income. Social Media has no effect on merchant income. The results of the determinant coefficient test obtained an Adjusted R-squared (R2) value of 0.890235. This value is almost close to 1 (one). Thus it is concluded that 89% of the independent variables (capital, work experience, working hours, and social media) are able to explain trader income while 11% are explained by other variables outside the model.
