description: The imbalance between the high number of labor force and the low number of jobs will cause an increase in unemployment. This study aims to determine the effect of  the Human Development Index (HDI), economic growth, and the inflation rate on  the unemployment rate in Java in 2010-2022. The population in this study is data from provinces in Java Island. Sampling was carried out using the non-probability  sampling method with all provinces in Java Island in the 2010-2022 period. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis method, which is processed using the E-views 12 test tool. The results in this study indicate that the Human Development Index (HDI) and the inflation rate have an effect on the unemployment rate.
